Johannesburg is the cultural and financial hub of South Africa. We begin
with a guided city tour taking in Nelson Mandela’s house, the Apartheid

Victoria Falls – One of the Seven Natural Wonders

We travel to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, standing 108 metres high and
stretching 1708 metres wide, making it the largest waterfall in the world.

Welcome to South Africa! Johannesburg, “Jozi” for short, is the city best known as the financial hub and cultural metropolis of South Africa. Use your free afternoon to freshen up before a busy day tomorrow!

Day 2

Johannesburg City Tour

Today, we explore the cultural metropolis of South Africa in Johannesburg - visit Nelson Mandela’s house, walk through the eerie history of the Apartheid Museum and visit Soweto, the most densely populated township in the country.

Day 3

Travel Day to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

We say goodbye to South Africa and hello Zimbabwe as we travel today to Victoria Falls, one of the 7 wonders of the world. As soon as we land, freshen up and get ready for a beautiful sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River.

Days 4-7

Day 4

Victoria Falls

Experience the beauty of Victoria Falls on your very first full day with a guided tour of Victoria Falls Park. Whether it’s the feeling of the spray on your face or the usual sight of a rainbow emerging from the Falls, this will surely be a sight worth remembering. It’s often raining in the rainforest during wet season so be sure to have your poncho!

Day 5

Victoria Falls

Today, we experience a different side of Victoria Falls. Visit Rose of Charity Orphanage, a local orphanage that Ates Africa is proud to support the last few years. Meet the kids and the ‘mamas’ who take care of them. On the way to the orphanage, walk-through the market in the township and have a taste of some African delicacy - mopane worms!

Day 6

Victoria Falls

Use this free day to choose between various optional activities, such as an elephant interaction, canoeing trip, or a helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls.

Day 7

Sunset safari at Kruger National Park

We say goodbye Zimbabwe and hello again, South Africa! Welcome to Kruger National Park. Start your journey with a game drive through the grounds of Kruger Park, beginning at sunset and proceeding into the night-time darkness.

Days 8-11

Day 8

Full-Day Safari

Spend a full day looking for the Big 5! Experience the beauty of the true wildlife of South Africa and the silence of the vast outdoors of Kruger Park.

Day 9

Another Full-Day Safari

Missed that leopard or rhino sighting yesterday? No worries - here’s another full-day safari to spot that rare sighting of wildlife. Take in the beautiful surroundings of Kruger Park one last time before we explore a different part of Mpumalanga tomorrow.

Day 10

Panorama Route

This beautiful drive takes us along the beautiful mountains, hills, and waterfalls of Blyde River Canyon. We will stop at various scenic points, such as God’s Window, the Potholes, and the Three Rondavels, all providing fantastic views into the most beautiful part of South Africa.
