The Oorlogskloof Nature Reserve hike is a 5 day, 52km
circular trail through one of South Africa’s most extraordinary botanical
landscapes on the Bokkeveld Plateau. This guided Oorlogskloof Nature Reserve
hike takes you through over 1350 plant species, endemic birdlife and dramatic

Birdwatching
The Reserve is also the place to go for birdwatchers with at
least 148 species such as Cape Sugarbirds, Martial Eagle, Verreaux’s Eagle,
Kestrels, Southern Black Korhaan and Cape Clapper Lark.
The Trail
The five-day, 52km circular trail starts and ends at Groot Tuin,
where there is safe parking and an overnight hut. You receive a detailed map
and route description on arrival and there are markings along the trail.
